Game 59- PawSox vs. Bulls, June 2, 2008

So far so good for the PawSox on this current road trip. They have taken two out of three from the Durham Bulls as the teams wrap-up their four game series tonight (7:05pm) at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. RHP Kyle Snyder (1-2, 5.08 ERA) vs. RHP Jeremy Cummings (4-0, 1.08 ERA)

Here is a brief look at the game...

Pawtucket Red Sox (35-23)

The PawSox enter the game alone in second place in the IL North Division, one game behind Scranton/Wilkes Barre and 1/2 game ahead of third place Syracuse. They are tied for the second best record in all of the International League with IL West leader Toledo.

Brandon Moss has made his return to Pawtucket a successful one by being named today the International League Batter of the Week. He batted .400 for the week, with four homers and 9 RBI's. He is currently enjoying a 10 game hitting streak.

Snyder tonight makes his second since coming off the disabled list. He did not fair well in his return yielding 5 runs in only 1 2/3 innings in the PawSox 9-8 loss to Scranton/Wilkes Barre last Tuesday.

Durham Bulls (30-27)

Despite two straight losses the Bulls still find themselves on top of the IL South Division, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Richmond Braves.

Cummings has been perfect over his first four starts, earning the win in each one. He has given up only three earned runs over 25 innings pitched. He has yielded 10 hits, walking 7 while striking out 18.
