Game Wraps, April 18, 2008

Teams across the International League are on the road today to start new series. Here's a wrap of the action from yesterday.

Like the PawSox, the Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees got off to a quick start, scoring 8 runs in the first 4 innings in their 9-5 win over the Charlotte Knights. BOX

The Toledo Mud Hens continue to make life miserable for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, taking three of four in their series after last night's 8-3 victory. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs have won four straight, completing a sweep of the Bisons 8-4 yesterday in Buffalo. BOX

The Durham Bulls found their hitting stride yesterday, pounding out 14 hits in defeating the Columbus Clippers 7-3. BOX

The Norfolk Tides scored seven runs in the ninth in their 10-3 win over the Louisville Bats. BOX

It was a pitcher's duel in Rochester as the Red Wings nipped the Richmond Braves 1-0. BOX

NOTE: I will be on a well-deserved weekend off...so no wraps tomorrow...
