The PawSox return to the friendly confines of McCoy Stadium tonight (6:05pm) to open up a three game series against the Buffalo Bisons. The PawSox hope to keep their hot bats going following last night's 17-5 pounding in Indianapolis.
I'm away for the weekend, so here is a look at the pitching matchups for the first two games of the series:
GAME ONE: Sat. 6:05 pm LHP Aaron Laffey (2-1, 4.00) vs. RHP Chris Smith (0-1, 1.86)
GAME TWO: Sun. 1:05 pm RHP Sean Smith (0-0, 3.75) vs. RHP David Pauley (1-1, 1.17)
I will be at the game Monday for the 12:05pm matinee. As always we'll have a more comprehensive preview and updates throughout.
There will be quite a bit for fans to experience tonight. Prior to the game five members of the PawSox will be presented with World Series rings as members of the 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox. Outfielders Jeff Bailey, Brandon Moss, and Bobby Kietly will be joined by pitchers Davern Hansack and Kyle Snyder in collecting their rings. PawSox Manager Ron Johnson is also expected to receive a ring.
Following tonight's game, one of the many fireworks shows scheduled throughout the season will take place. See you Monday!
