PawSox Lead Chiefs, 1-0 Through Four

The PawSox lead the Syracuse Chiefs, 1-0 after four innings.

Pawtucket scored their run off Chiefs' starter Scott Richmond in the bottom of the fourth. Joe Thurston led the inning with a single. He advanced to third on a single by Jed Lowrie. After Chris Carter struck out, Thurston scored on a grounder by Keith Ginter in which Richmond's indecisiveness cost the Chief's a potential out at the plate.

The game has been dominated by solid pitching from PawSox starter Charlie Zink. He has allowed only one hit while walking two and striking out three. He continues to be extremely efficient, throwing only 47 pitches, 28 of them for strikes, through four innings.
