David Ortiz was in the last group in batting practice this afternoon. He again appeared to have little problems in the cage, hitting six homers during BP.
Manager Ron Johnson said all indications are that there are no setbacks in Ortiz' development.
"All I do is watch him swing" said Johnson on his role during this rehab, "The other thing I do as a Triple A manager is making sure he is comfortable in this environment."
Here are the line-ups:
TOLEDO
Freddy Guzman LF
Michael Hollimon 2B
Timo Perez DH
Brent Clevelen RF
Clete Thomas CF
Erik Almonte SS
Dane Sardinha C
Kody Kirkland 3B

PAWTUCKET
Jeff Bailey 1B
Joe Thurston 2B
David Ortiz DH
Chris Carter LF
George Kottaras C
Jeff Corsaletti RF
Keith Ginter 3B
Gil Velazquez SS
Jonathan Van Every CF
My suspicions about Toledo's starting pitcher was correct. Chris Lambert (9-5, 3.10 ERA) will get the start tonight. He has won two consecutive starts and has not given up an earned run in his last 14 innings of work.
Check back for updates throughout the game. Stay cool!
