Joe McDonald at the ProJo has the story that Chris Carter has been called up by the Red Sox to fill the roster spot vacated by the injured David Ortiz.
The Sox are also expected to call-up Justin Masterson to pitch tonight. That may result in Jeff Bailey being sent back to Pawtucket.
