Following this afternoon's Red Sox win over Tampa Bay, the club announced that RP Craig Hansen has been called up to the big leagues to take the roster spot left vacant by Brandon Moss.
Moss was scheduled to be released from the hospital today after undergoing an emergency appendectomy last night.
