Game Wraps- May 9, 2008

Friday's action across the International League ended like this...

You probably already know that the PawSox and Norfolk Tides were rained out last night. The teams will play a double header tonight (6:05pm) at McCoy. Bartolo Colon is expected to to make his return and pitch game one.

CF Brian Snyder's 10th inning RBI double gave the Buffalo Bisnons a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Rochester Red Wings. DH Michael Aubery went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's for the Bisons. BOX

The fans in Allentown, PA also saw some extra baseball as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs got a walk-off solo homer from Jon Knott in their 10-inning 4-3 win. J.A. Happ struck out 13 in a no decision. BOX

Five Richmond Braves pitchers combined for a 2-0 shut-out of the Louisville Bats. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs scored five runs in the fifth to over take the Durham Bulls, 7-2. BOX

The Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees scored five runs over two innings to edge the Indianapolis Indians, 6-5. BOX

3B Mike Hessman belted two homers as the Toledo Mud Hens dominated the Charlotte Knights, 8-1. BOX

I will again be tied up with work commitments today...so no PawSox game previews. I will do my best to give you a summary of today's games late tonight or tomorrow. Thanks!
