The Pawtucket Red Sox look to complete a sweep of the Norfolk Tides as the teams complete their four game set tonight (6:15pm) at McCoy. LHP Craig Anderson (1-2, 8.49) goes for the Tides as RHP Devern Hansack (0-4, 5.89).
Unfortunately work and family commitments are keeping me from the game. Regardless, here is a preview...
Norfolk Tides (13-23)
As much as the PawSox have been on a roll, the Tides have been reeling, losers of six straight.
Anderson makes his sixth start of the season. He struggled over his last two outings, surrendering 14 runs on 19 hits in only 7 1/3 innings of work.
Offensively, the Tides are led by Luis Terrero, the IL's leading hitter (.344)
Pawtucket Red Sox (22-16)
The PawSox enter the game riding a 5 game winning the streak, the longest active streak in the league and the longest for the PawSox since August of last year.
INF Jed Lowrie returns to the PawSox tonight after a stint with Boston. He played in 17 games with the Sox, batting .310 with one homer.
Hansack will attempt to, at the very least, duplicate his last outing. Even though he lost to the Durham Bulls last Wednesday, it was his best start of the year...giving up only one earned run on two hits over 6 1/3 innings.
