PawSox Lead Through Six, 4-1

The PawSox are still on top of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, adding a pair of runs in the fifth to up their lead to 4-1 after six innings at McCoy.

The PawSox scored their two runs on a single by Dusty Brown and a long homer to right by Jonathan Van Every, his third of the season.

PawSox starter David Pauley was relieved after one out in the top of the fifth. He finsihed the day giving up only one run on five hits. He walked two and struck out one.

RHP Lincoln Holdzkom releived Pauley and had a shaky sixth inning, although he did not yield a run. He gave up a lead-off double to RF Valentino Pascucci. After getting the next two Iron Pig batters out, he walked TJ Bohn and Gookie Dawkins to load the bases. He got out of the inning on a broken bat pop-up to short off the bat of Brandon Watson.

Despite giving up four runs, Iron Pigs' starter Brian Mazone has shown flashes of brilliance. He has struck out ten PawSox' through six.
