PawSox Lead 3-1 after Six

The PawSox are still leading the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, now 3-1 through six innings.

The Iron Pigs got their lone run thus far in the top of the fifth on a solo homer to left by 2B Casey Smith.

The PawSox added to their lead in the bottom of the fifth. Keith Ginter led off the inning with a single to left and was erased after Jed Lowrie reached on a fielder’s choice. Carter got on base for the third straight plate appearance earning a walk. After Moss struck out, Kielty reached on a walk to load the bases. After Iron Pigs starter J.A. Happ was relieved by Joe Bisenius, Bailey walked to force in a run. The PawSox could score no more as Brown struck out looking to end the inning.
