Game Wraps, April 23, 2008

Here is a rundown of the rest of the action from the International League yesterday...

You have to feel some compassion for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. They lost their 8th game in a row last night and are winless on the road this season (0-13) after falling to Rochester 5-3. BOX

The Toledo Mud Hens scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning on their way to a 4-1 win over the Columbus Clippers. BOX

The Louisville Bats scored 7 runs early in the game, but still barely held on to beat the Indianapolis Indians 7-5. The Bats now sit alone atop the IL West. BOX

The Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees broke up a tie in the bottom of the ninth, on a walk-off home run by Brett Gardner, 6-5 over Buffalo. BOX

The Charlotte Knights scored at least one run in six innings on their way to an 11-2 rout of the Durham Buls. BOX

It took 14 innings before the Norfolk Tides broke through to edge the Richmond Braves 8-7. BOX
