Even though the PawSox enjoyed a day off, it was still a busy day around the International League yesterday...

John Van Benschoten fired 6 2/3 hitless innings and three relievers came within one strike of completing a no-hitter as Indianapolis shoutout Louisville, 7-0. Van Benschoten is now a perfect 4-0 on the season. BOX

The Syracuse Chiefs come to Pawtucket riding an 8-game winning streak after sweeping the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 13-6. OF Wayne Lydon and SS Jorge Velandia each drove in three for the Chiefs, as they are now tied for the leade in the IL North. BOX

The Columbus Clippers scored twice in the top of the ninth on a homer by DH Jason Dubois to edge the Toledo Mud Hens 5-3. BOX

The Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees left 13 men on base in their 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Bisons yesterday. BOX

It took 11 innings for the Durham Bulls to edge the Charlotte Knights , 3-2 BOX
