The Columbus Clippers got a strong pitching performance from Collin Balester in shutting out the Durham Bulls 1-0. BOX
There was also a shutout in Norfolk, where the Tides upended the Red Wings 3-0. BOX
The Richmond Braves also offered up some stingy pitching in their 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Bisons. BOX
The Syracuse Chiefs scored six runs over the first two innings to beat the Indianapolis Indians 6-1. BOX
The Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees broke out of their slump, thumping the Louisville Bats 11-5. BOX
