Game 10- Bats vs PawSox, April 12, 2008

The PawSox look to get back to their winning ways as they prepare to take on the Louisville Bats this afternoon (2:15pm) at Slugger Field. The PawSox will send LHP Michael Tejera (0-0, 5,79 ERA) to the mound against Bats' RHP Justin Lehr (1-0, 1.13 ERA)

Some note of interest heading into the game...

Louisville Bats (6-3)

Lehr makes his second start of the 2008 season. He'll have to go some to duplicate his opening performance against the Scranton Wilkes/Barre Yankees. In that game he was five outs away from a perfect game, losing the no hitter and shutout in the eighth on a homer by the Yanks' Jason Lane.

IF/OF Jerry Hairston extended his hitting streak to seven with a hit last night. OF Jay Bruce, who homered against the PawSox last night, has now hit in six straight games. SS Paul Janish is also enjoying a six game hit streak.

Pawtucket Red Sox (6-3)

Tejera makes his second appearance of the season. He relieved Red Sox RHP Mike Timlin last Monday after Timlin's rehab start at McCoy. He pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up 3 earned runs.

At press time there was no word on the status of RHP Davern Hansack, who was forced to leave last night's game in the first inning after being struck on his pitching arm by a batted ball.
