Other notes...this will be the Triple A debut for outfielder Jeff Corsaletti. Corsaletti was promoted from Portland over the past few days.

As if Ortiz' presence here is not enough, the Red Sox World Series trophies are also on hand for the game.

As you can imagine, the media hoard has decended upon McCoy. Most of the Boston media has made the trip, and I also spotted a writer from the New York Times. I am still able to secure my perch in the press box and I will provide updates on Ortiz and the game throughout the night.
