PawSox Take the Lead Over Louisville after Six, 4-2

The PawSox are holding a 4-2 lead over the Louisville Bats after six innings tonight at McCoy

After four scoreless innings, the Bats got on the board in the top of the fifth off PawSox starter Edgar Martinez. After two consecutive walks DH Ryan Hanigan drove in Mike Griffin with an RBI single to center.

The PawSox responded with a vengence in the bottom of the fifth, sending nine men to the plate and scoring four runs, all off Bats' starter Ramon Ramirez. Pawtucket received RBI hits from Keith Ginter (double), Jonathan Van Every (triple), Jeff Bailey (double) and Joe Thurston (single).

Jed Lowrie also added a double in the inning to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.

Louisville scored their second run in the sixth on a homer by Adam Rosales off PawSox reliever Hunter Jones.
