Yankees/PawSox in Slugfest at McCoy, SWB Leading 8-6 After Four

The Yankees and the PawSox are putting on an offensive show tonight at McCoy, with SWB leading, 8-6 after four innings.

With a 5-0 lead entering the Scranton third, Justin Christian singled and advanced to second when Nick Green reached on an error by Gil Velazquez. After a Chris Stewart sacrifice bunt, Bernie Castro drove in Christian with a single.

In the fourth the Yankees struck for two more. Three straight doubles by Jason Lane, Ben Broussard, and Cody Ransom gave SWB an 8-0 lead.

The PawSox scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth off Scranton starter Dan Giese on a two-run homer by Joe Thurston and a Grand Slam by Dusty Brown.
