PawSox Lead Bulls, 3-1 After Two

Red Sox IF Alex Cora is 1 for 1 so far on his rehab assignment and the PawSox lead the Durham Bulls, 3-1, after two innings.

The PawSox wasted little time in erasing their 20 inning scoreless streak by scoring three times in the bottom of the first off Bulls' starter Kevin Lynn. Jeff Bailey led off with a walk and Cora singled to right. After Joe Thurston sacrificed the runners to second and third, George Kottaras drove in the first run on a hard ground out to second. DH Sandy Madera plated the second run on a single to right and then scored himself on a double to right center by Chris Carter.

The Bulls got on the board off PawSox starter Kyle Snyder in the top of the second on a single by 1B Chris Richard, a double by DH Dan Johnson, and a fielder’s choice by 3B Joel Guzman, plating Richard. Snyder settled down, retiring the next two batters of a fly ball to right and a strikeout.

FYI...Cora is wearing numer 13, same as his unifrom in Boston
