Pauley Called Up to Boston, Thurston Sent Down

David Pauley was scratched form his start Sunday in anticipation of being called up to Boston to pitch in place of Clay Buchholz who was suffering from the flu. Well Pauley did get called up, but it wasn't to spell Buchholz.

The PawSox right hander will be starting for Boston tonight in place of Josh Beckett, who was a last minute scratch due to stiffness in his neck.

To make room for Pauley the Sox sent IF/OF Joe Thurston back to Pawtucket.
