Game 14- PawSox vs, Indians, April 16th, 2008

The PawSox are currently 1-4 on this eight-game road trip. They look to get back on track as they face the Indianapolis Indians again today in an afternoon match-up (2:00pm) at Victory Field. Abe Alvarez (1-0, 2,84 ERA) gets the call for Pawtucket against Luis Munoz (1-0, 4.22 ERA) for the Indians

Here is a quick pre-game look at the clubs...

Pawtucket Red Sox (7-6)

Alvarez gets the spot start for Pawtucket in place of Davern Hansack who was placed on the 7 day DL with a contusion to his right arm suffered in a game last week in Louisville. Alvarez was moved to the pen this year and so far, so good. After a tough first outing, Alvarez has given up only one run on one hit over his last five innings.

Offensively, it has been hit or miss on this road trip. In the PawSox' four losses they have only scored a total of 8 runs.

Indianapolis Indians (10-3)

The Indians enter today's game with the best record in the International League at 10-3. They are riding a five game winning streak, and have won 10 of their last 11 since losing the first two games of the season at McCoy against the PawSox. Over that span the Indians have averaged a little more than 8 hits a game.

This will be Munoz' third start of the season. He has been both wild and on target at times, giving up a team high 10 walks while also striking out 11.
